Case Study: The Ritual of Fruit

1. Vision

At the core of this project was a simple but powerful observation: At a techno party, a table of fruit stood as both a generous offering and an absurd ritual.
From this came the seed of the idea:
Begin with a pristine, sculptural arrangement of fruit — presented like a Caravaggio still life.
Over time, the fruit is eaten, crushed, scattered — until what remains is a scene of poetic destruction.
The table becomes an allegory for people in nightlife:
entering fresh, clean, beautiful.
leaving messy, raw, transformed by indulgence.
The intent was never heavy-handed or tragic — instead, it embraces beauty, humor, and melancholy in equal measure, much like the deadpan surrealism of Yorgos Lanthimos.
