THE PROJECT
MicroDrive and Social Studies, two rapidly growing SaaS companies under the umbrella of the same venture capital firm, faced a pivotal challenge in scaling their operations. As they expanded, the need for a robust work management system became increasingly apparent—to track and manage work within each company and facilitate seamless collaboration between the sister entities. Recognizing the criticality of streamlined operations and inter-company synergy, they turned to Experience Innovation to assess their workflows, document their processes, and design an Asana system catering to their organizational growth and collaborative needs.
WHAT WE DID
Our engagement with MicroDrive and Social Studies commenced with thoroughly assessing their existing workflows. It was paramount to understand the dynamics of their operations, growth trajectories, and the intricacies of collaboration between the two entities. Our objective was to construct a system within Asana that was not merely a tool for task management but a catalyst for strategic alignment, productivity, and cross-company collaboration.
We embarked on a meticulous process of documenting the unique processes of each company, ensuring every operational nuance was captured and considered in the system design. The Asana system was crafted with a dual focus: to manage and track work within each company robustly and serve as a bridge, enabling key MicroDrive and Social Studies leadership members to collaborate effectively and effortlessly.
THE OUTCOME
Implementing the Asana system marked a significant stride towards operational excellence for MicroDrive and Social Studies. Both companies embraced the system, signalling a unified step towards structured growth and enhanced productivity. The platform's adoption was about managing tasks and fostering a culture of transparency, strategic alignment, and collaborative efficiency.
The new system paved the way for a more integrated approach to work management and cross-company collaboration, allowing leadership teams to synchronize efforts seamlessly and drive collective objectives with greater clarity and cohesion. The successful adoption of Asana across MicroDrive and Social Studies reflects their commitment to not just growth but growth driven by strategic collaboration and operational excellence.
