Assouline, an emblem of cultural sophistication in the publishing industry, confronted a significant challenge: a convoluted production process marked by disparate information streams and fragmented workflows. Recognizing the need for a nuanced, structured solution, Assouline engaged Experience Innovation to thoroughly audit their Asana usage, aiming to refine their workflow processes and establish a harmonious, integrated system to effectively manage production from ideation to delivery.

WHAT WE DID

Our partnership with Assouline began with a detailed audit of their existing Asana usage, closely examining the interaction between teams and the system. Our strategy was not merely to streamline processes but to understand and address the human elements – the anxieties, the resistance to change, and each department's unique workflows, information requirements, and dynamics.

Teams who adopted Asana include Editorial, Creative, Design, Marketing, Public Relations, Operations, Production, Sales, Retail Location Design, Information Technology, and e-commerce.

Our holistic approach focused on crafting an integrated workflow system that fostered a narrative of collaboration and efficiency across the organization. We designed an Asana workflow to facilitate a seamless project journey from inception to completion aligned closely with the staff's needs and preferences, creating a heightened sense of ownership and engagement.

This initiative included a robust change management strategy grounded in the PROSCI methodology and the ADKAR model to navigate the complexities of change with empathy and precision. We developed customized training materials – videos, infographics, and written documentation – tailored to diverse learning styles, ensuring comprehensive support and empowerment for every team member during this transition.
