I built Notify to make AI coding workflows easier to follow away from the desktop. The open-source Codex skill routes events such as finished builds, monitoring alerts, and completed exports into native ChatGPT mobile push notifications.
A source task sends a compact event to one persistent ChatGPT Work task. That task creates or updates a server-side Scheduled Task, which produces the native notification. The system reuses Builds, Monitoring, Downloads, and General channels instead of creating a new conversation for each alert.
The implementation includes event-key deduplication, serialization within each channel, and explicit confirmation that a Scheduled Task was created or updated before accepting an event for delivery. Device-level push remains best-effort and depends on notification settings.
No separate notification app, custom push backend, connector, or monitoring daemon is required.
