Project Overview

Layla Rose is a soft and elegant website made for a newborn essentials brand. The goal was to build a warm and trustworthy digital presence that reflects the tenderness and care behind the products.

Client Requirements

The client wanted a clean, modern, and emotional design that feels gentle and welcoming for new parents. The website needed to be fully responsive, fast-loading, and optimized for SEO. They also requested high scores on Google PageSpeed and GTmetrix, with strong protection from bots and a stable cache system.

Challenge

The main challenge was to balance a minimal design with a rich emotional feel while maintaining perfect performance and responsive behavior on all devices. The visuals had to convey warmth without clutter, and the development had to stay pixel-perfect to match the Figma design exactly.

My Process

Client Meeting: Discussed project goals, brand tone, and visual direction.
Research: Explored color palettes, typography, and inspiration from premium baby brands.
UX & UI Design: Created the full UX and UI design from scratch in Figma (designed by @veronika).
Development: Converted the design into HTML, SCSS, and JavaScript with a pixel-perfect approach.
Optimization: Implemented responsive layouts, minified assets, and used Cloudflare for caching and security.
Testing & Launch: Tested on all major devices and browsers. After final review, the site was launched successfully.

Results

Google PageSpeed Score: 95+
GTmetrix: A Grade (All green)
Fully responsive and visually consistent across all devices
Fast loading and strong Cloudflare protection
Positive client feedback and successful sharing campaign after launch
