Press Release Writer/Deputy Communications Director

My role at the Idaho Democratic party was to help the caucus develop and implement their communications strategy. As the Deputy Communications Director, I developed press releases, op-eds, social media content, speeches, talking points and worked with legislators to form an overall communications strategy. Working with the Democratic Minority party to protect against harmful policies and dangerous bills was high stakes and high intensity. The rapidly changing environment resulted in quick turnaround times.

I have written successful press releases for businesses, candidates, legislators, and political organizations. I have experience working with the press and understand what garners attention.
