Client: Dopamine Charter Role: Brand Identity Design + Creative Director Deliverables: Logo, visual identity, graphic elements, brand applications Year: 2021
Dopamine Charter is a luxury yacht charter operating across the Caribbean and the Bahamas. When the project started, the owner wanted a brand identity that could reflect the premium nature of the experience while staying clean, modern, and timeless.
One important element he asked to include was a symbol connected to his family: a crescent shape that had personal meaning to him. My role was to reinterpret that crescent into a contemporary mark that could work as the core of the brand identity.
The result was a logo and visual language designed to feel elegant and minimal, while still carrying that personal story. The identity was developed to live naturally across the yacht itself, marketing materials, and the brand’s digital presence.

Brand Presence Onboard
The identity was also designed to extend naturally to the crew’s uniforms and onboard environment. Elements such as the embroidered symbol, restrained color palette, and minimal typographic treatment allow the branding to remain subtle while reinforcing a consistent visual presence.
During the development process, additional applications such as uniform variations and apparel placements were explored to ensure the brand could integrate naturally into the onboard experience. Out of respect for the client’s privacy and internal brand documentation, some of these mockups and guideline materials are not publicly shared.

Color Palette

The palette takes cues from the environment the brand lives in. Deep navy tones reference the sea and give the identity a strong base, while lighter greys balance things out and keep the system simple.
The combination keeps the visual language restrained and easy to apply across different materials on the yacht. The darker tones provide structure, while the neutrals help maintain clarity without adding unnecessary noise.
Overall, the palette was kept minimal so the identity feels consistent and natural within the yacht setting.

Brand in Application

The identity was designed to feel present without being loud.
On physical materials the mark appears through embossing and subtle surface treatments rather than strong color contrasts. This approach allows the symbol to emerge from the material itself, creating a quiet sense of depth and tactility.
The stationery system expands the identity with a restrained palette of deep blues and soft neutrals. These tones echo the calm atmosphere of the sea while keeping the visual language minimal and composed.
Together these elements create a brand presence that feels understated, refined, and appropriate for the world of luxury yacht chartering.
In 2026, I also revisited the project and created a short AI-assisted video to showcase the brand in motion, using newer tools and workflows to explore how the identity could be presented in a more dynamic way.

Results & Impact

The final identity gives Dopamine Charter a clear and recognizable visual presence.
The logo works both as a brand mark and as a graphic element that can be applied across different materials without losing clarity. The system was designed to stay simple and adaptable so it can grow with the brand over time.
The project was also featured in several design and branding publications. In a space where many identities tend to blend together, creating something that draws attention while remaining restrained was an important goal, and one we were able to achieve.
Note: The photographs used in this project are not my own and I do not claim credit for them. They are included purely to showcase how the brand identity is applied within its intended environment.
