UNUM Cloud is a sophisticated cloud services platform aimed at delivering a unified solution for individuals and businesses seeking to manage their cloud infrastructure effortlessly. The platform offers a comprehensive suite of tools and services, including data storage, cloud security, and automated scaling solutions. My role as the designer was to create a user-centric, intuitive, and visually engaging website that would not only reflect UNUM Cloud's cutting-edge technology but also provide a seamless experience for both tech-savvy professionals and newcomers to cloud services.

The first step was understanding the cloud services market and UNUM Cloud’s unique selling points. This included:

Target Audience Research: Identifying the primary audience—businesses, developers, and IT professionals, as well as non-technical users. The website needed to appeal to both groups.

Competitor Analysis: Studying competitors like AWS and Google Cloud for insights into industry standards and areas where UNUM Cloud could differentiate, particularly in terms of design clarity and usability.

The next phase involved structuring the website’s content to ensure easy navigation:

Simple Navigation: The website was organized with a clean, straightforward navigation bar, allowing users to access key sections—Services, Pricing, Blog, and About—quickly.

Wireframes: Created to outline page structure and prioritize the most critical elements, such as the homepage hero, service descriptions, CTAs, and pricing tables.

Color Palette: The chosen color scheme features shades of blue and grey, which convey professionalism, security, and trust—key attributes for a cloud services provider.

Typography: A modern sans-serif font was selected for readability across devices. Headlines were bold and clear, with body text ensuring legibility even for technical explanations.

Imagery & Iconography: Custom-designed icons were used to visually break down technical services, making them easier to understand at a glance. This was combined with subtle animations to highlight key sections without overwhelming users.

The homepage introduces UNUM Cloud with a hero section that encapsulates the brand’s vision and offerings, paired with a call-to-action (CTA) button encouraging users to explore services immediately.

The homepage is designed to provide users with a clear understanding of what UNUM Cloud offers, without diving too deep into technical details upfront:

Hero Section: Includes a bold headline that succinctly communicates UNUM Cloud’s value proposition. A primary CTA button immediately prompts users to explore the services.

Service Overview: Below the fold, users are introduced to the main services offered—cloud storage, security, and scalability—with concise descriptions and visually appealing icons.

Customer Testimonials & Case Studies: Social proof was incorporated with customer reviews and case studies further down the page, to build trust and credibility.

Each cloud service has a dedicated page:

Clear Service Descriptions: Each service page balances technical details with easy-to-understand language, ensuring users of varying technical expertise can grasp the benefits.

Technical Diagrams: Where necessary, simplified diagrams were used to explain more complex features, such as automated scaling or data security protocols.

Call-to-Actions: Service pages were designed to drive conversions, with strategically placed CTA buttons prompting users to sign up or get more information.

To position UNUM Cloud as a thought leader, a blog section was added:

Engaging Content: The blog features articles, case studies, and whitepapers that educate users about cloud services, industry trends, and use cases.

Easy Navigation: Each article is categorized for easy access, ensuring users can find relevant content without sifting through the entire archive.

Given the importance of mobile traffic, the website was fully responsive:

Optimized Layouts: Content blocks were stacked for readability on smaller screens, and the navigation menu was condensed into a hamburger-style menu for easy access.

Smooth Interactions: Interactive elements like the pricing table were adapted to ensure functionality on mobile devices without sacrificing user experience.

Performance Optimization: Attention was given to site speed and performance, especially when loading key pages like the homepage and pricing. This ensures a fast, smooth experience that reduces bounce rates.

Accessibility: The design adheres to accessibility standards, with sufficient color contrast, readable text, and navigable elements for users with disabilities.
