As my final contribution to the UNews, I rediscovered our identity and brand. This year we struggled a lot with our mission and who we are as a newspaper. Questions that ran through my mind were: How do we want to be perceived? How can we be more eye-catching? Are we really a traditional newspaper? The answer to the last question is no, we aren’t. We only print once a month and while untraditional, it lets us do a lot of amazing things. We write about whatever we want, not necessarily just campus news. So since we aren’t like the average newspaper, we don’t have to look like it either!
