Evaluating the information about public web application endpoints and preparing protection mechanisms helps identify potential attack surfaces.
A web service endpoint is a web address (URL) where customers of a specific service can access it. The endpoint serves as a connection point where HTML files or active server pages are available. Endpoints provide the necessary information to address a web service endpoint.
Each endpoint may have vulnerabilities. Having a list of endpoints with identified weaknesses allows you to address them before a potential attacker can exploit them and perform unauthorized actions.
