Taking over a platform used daily by technicians and dealers
Situation: the whole business runs on an app built by several developers who are no longer there.
Protech is an automotive company in Monte-Carlo. Its business runs on a single platform. Dealers request prices and book jobs there, technicians follow each job in a mobile app, and admins run everything.
I took over the changes and fixes on the platform.
Mission: take over the platform without breaking anything.
The teams needed new features, without breaking a tool used every day and without corrupting the data the managers rely on.
Actions
A nightly export. Every night, all open jobs are sent to a Google Sheet that the managers already used. I set up a direct connection through a Google Cloud service account.
Prices you can check. The platform recalculated each price every time it displayed it. I saved the prices in the database and showed them under the calculated ones. So Protech can compare the two before trusting the saved prices.
A warranty scan. The technician scans a QR code instead of typing a long number.
What I fixed
Dealers got the wrong discount on their price requests.
Parts displayed differently on a computer and on a tablet.
A dealer could not log in, and an admin could not delete a dealership.
How I worked
Kick-off with the client. Every new feature or fix went through a test version that the client and their team could try.
Results
All open jobs in the managers' Google Sheet, every night.
Saved prices visible next to the calculated prices.

I took over Protech's Bubble (no-code) platform. The company's whole business runs on it.
