Why Communication and Media Studies is a Valuable Career choice.

Saying a word or strings of words doesn't make it communication.

I had believed strongly that anyone who studies Communication arts must be a talkative , I mean what was the point of studying a course when the thought of speaking to a person or group of people makes your heart beat faster than an asthmatic patient and your hands shakes rapidly like someone who has some sort of ailment.

I'm not trolling, it's the story of my life but the difference?

It's always not noticeable , I could hide all that nervousness and make everything look good while being focused on not making blunders.

I really wanted to study a course I could spread my wings and soar as high as I wanted and that left me with no choice than that which I was scared of .

But I did it anyways, against all odds and talks to not waste my intelligence studying arts in secondary school but also graduating to study a course I wasn't sure there were any more jobs .

I was seriously bothered , " if I'd done science maybe I would be more secure and won't have to speak or worry about being in people's faces for long " .

I trashed that talk after my first year , I couldn't care less about all that .

I unlearned 70% of all I'd inculcated through my ignorance.

Communication isn't about being a talkative, it's about being able to deliver a topic when called upon and not just that , it requires understanding the cues your audience is giving, carrying them along ( you'd better kiss your "no jokes " self good bye) and basically making it about them.

Communicating isn't about you at the moment, it's about the listeners ( audience ) and their needs to be met ( even if you're in the middle of a negotiation ).

As for the myths about not having a job , I'll say that's one hell of an oxymoron.

Every job description needs the compulsory soft skill ( communication) that you're lucky to be offering .

The availability of jobs I've seen in regards to this course is just oh ! Amazing ( Journalism and Broadcasting aside).

And have you seen the rise of writers and storytellers 'needed' lately? It's on the high side.

It doesn't matter if you want to do all of that or you want to niche down OR even work remotely.

The opportunities are there , and You are in high demand.

If you're having second thoughts about Communication and Media Studies, this should do it for you.

Why would you even believe me ? I'm non-partisan and I do not have interest in things neither do I have favorites but I've never been so passionate about something like this.

You don't have to be lousy to study this course , take your sweet time and find your niche ( you've got lots of days , weeks , months and four years to do this).
