Animated Music Video for Dauble's Song “Party Monster”

I started working with the New York based, underground hip-hop artist, Dauble a couple of years ago and we discussed the opportunity of making an animated music video but we didn't really get to it at that time. After trying out Adobe Character Animator I felt I needed to give it a try and the result came out really good. The most fun part was to make the performance as the in-built camera tracks my movement. Below you can see a screen shot from the first walk and lip-sync session.

The artist wanted something eye-catching and funny and with a little bit of tweaking I got the character to behave in a pleasing way )

Goals/Requirements: The requirements that helped get this project to the finish line was. • Puppet Creations • Puppet Rigging; Walking left, Standing, Walking right, Eye movement, Eyebrows, Lip-sync and more to bring the character to life. • Building interesting scenes and making an explosive ending.

I started the project by creating some simple character drafts to find a good base. When that was set I added in details that I knew the artist would like. After the actual puppet was design and had the basic movements rigged I continued to the scene set-up. By working on the project this way I made the project more time efficient.

The goal for this project was to make something less usual to bring more attention to the artist, which it did! Full length video
