With one client my aim was to rank in the top ten search results for all the major product categories (e.g. "Best X" and "Guide to X"). My approach depended on distilling key factors that distinguished products from one another, and creating detailed comparison tables. After I had created guides across all the categories I had compared 223 products in total, using a total of 2401 data points.

Despite my articles being the first content written on a newly registered domain, my articles often ranked in the top ten results. This included a beginner's guide with an average rank of 1.41 on Google and a peak of ~1300 visits per month.

With each article I would start with a list of targeted keywords, additional keywords (e.g. relevant brands) and a review of the "People Also Ask" section on Google. This ensured my articles were both engaging and met Google's criteria.
