This project is a series of 4 events, including various content for use in a marketing plan. This content includes:
Animated artwork (except Poster 1)
Branded artist press shots
Branded artist promo videos
Ticket-related assets for stories
Blank background assets for ad-hoc posting
Throughout this review, I will discuss how and where each deliverable is deployed.

This poster was a last minute addition to this run of shows, so the aesthetic of abstract 3D geometry in the background isn't completely aligned with the following event posters in this series. That being said, the client and I were extremely happy with the aesthetic and thought it matched Two Shell's vibe while still aligning with Emergency Room's branding. With a combination of the abandonded train HDRI reflecting onto the chrome shapes, the neon light hoops and the translucent textured glass we created an interesting artwork that performed throughout marketing.

My aim for the new sticker design was to create something a little more interesting/complex than the previous ones, however it still needed to be flexible enough to host a range of text lengths for various shows while still maintaining it's general layout. Using the sticker design we then created the branded artist press shots which details all information about the event so they can be deployed in isolation. You may notice across these marketing materials that all assets are optimised for use on Instagram, whether that be creating both square (1920x1920) and story (1080x1920) dimensions for each asset, or laying out the information so it can be used in both dimensions and still have all necessary information visible (like in the ticket-related assets shown below).

The final materials for this event were the ticket-related assets and blank backgrounds that use zoomed in crops of the original 4K render as the background. The idea of the ticket-related assets (TR assets) was to have a more professional way of sharing ticket links, and to inform customers on current sales. The TR assets also include all information to the event so they can be used in isolation, and as mentioned above were designed for use as either a square or story. There are approximately 10-13 TR assets for each event, including milestones such as ' Early bird sold out' and '20% Tickets Remaining', all created specifically for each event, depending on allocation. The blank backgrounds are used for ad-hoc posting, to cover any topics not already encompassed in the other marketing materials while keeping the aesthetic professional and on-brand.

Loco Klub (Bristol) - 23.04.22

This was the first animated artwork I created, and I was very happy with the results. That being said, I think the frame rate of the render could have been increased to make the animation a little smoother, however at the time, I was quite limited by the capabilites of my laptop, particularly because of the light bounces from the atmospheric lighting going through the cogs and the reflective materials used.

We wanted to create a dark, brooding feel to this artwork and thought this was acheived perfectly with this use of lighting, particularly how the light pierces through the cogs in the background along with the contrasting bright white spotlight aimed at the sticker to draw the readers eye.

This was the first use of the branded artist promo video which took our marketing to the next level. These videos were also created in both story and square dimensions utilised in our paid marketing campaign which saw very positive results.

The Warehouse (Bristol) - 15.04.22

This was easily one of my favourite projects to date, it was one of those days where everything goes right, first time. With this animation we wanted a 'warehouse', 'industrial' sort of vibe, acheived by the pistons, colours and lights throughout.

Colour Garden (London) - 22.04.22

This artwork was a really simple concept and came out much better than I thought. Essentially, the process began with a long hollow cylinder with a gradient, I then added a mirrored sphere the same circumference as the cylinder itself and placed the sticker on top. I then grouped the sphere, sticker and camera into a rig which moved from end to end of the cylinder while it rotated at high speeds, giving a colour morphing effect and subsequent reflection on the mirrored ball. I then finished it off with a little rotational movement on the ball and sticker which give the animation a little more dynamism.

Conclusion

This run of shows has heavily developed Emergency Room's branding, providing more professional and deliberate marketing assets for use throughout the promotional process. As a designer I learnt a great deal on this project, from the basics of animation, to Adobe AE templates, my process for developing event marketing assets has been refined to a point I'd be comfortable taking an any event-related project.
