This musician is new to the scene. Although having played music his whole life, he is finally releasing his first EP. My experience with multi-media design, he sought me out to create his first album artwork with visual theme that he intends to carry through to future albums.

This was quite a long project. There was a lot of exploration, visual inspiration, and distillation of ideas. Coming up with a concept based on two songs was not an easy task. There were a lot of styles the client loved so we had to strategize and determine what made the most sense for his music, his listeners, and his marketing angle.

Through our collaboration, we decided on a physical multi-media collage. The photographs used here are a collection of vintage film photographs and my own photography. Paired with painted lettering and chalk illustrations, layers are created to form a cohesive yet imperfect, abstract narrative.
