The Bride's Thread — an interpretation of Blood Wedding

The Bride's Thread — an interpretation of Blood Wedding Quartz is a visual reinterpretation of Federico García Lorca's Blood Wedding, built as a poster/photo series around a single character: the Bride. Rather than narrating the play, the series translates her emotional transformation into the body language of flamenco, using a red thread as a physical extension of what the Bride tries to control and which, act by act, ends up controlling her. Flamenco works here as a symbol — of passion, desire, blood, and inner force — and the red of the thread as its visual materialization: it starts contained inside the body and ends up occupying the space, just like the passion the play presents as an inevitable fate.
