Builder Portal

Builder Portal is a web application for home builders to manage their inventory.

Home builders use the portal to manage inventory across many communities — each with its own listings, statuses, and tasks. The UI had to surface a lot of data at once without overwhelming users or hiding what needed action.

Adding a new community was especially painful: a long, multi-step process with unclear progress and inconsistent status cues. Builders needed a faster, more predictable way to get inventory live and keep it up to date.

We whiteboarded with builders and internal stakeholders to map inventory workflows, then sketched layout and status patterns before moving into higher-fidelity screens.

We redesigned the portal around clearer status indicators, a guided add-community flow, and consistent patterns across list and detail views — so builders can scan inventory health quickly and complete setup with less friction.
