Inflation Explainer

A short animated explainer about inflation. The goal was to explain a complex topic in a clear, engaging way using storytelling, animation, and sound. 

We started with research to make sure the script and visuals were accurate and easy to follow. The visuals were kept simple but detailed enough to support the story. We used clean, custom graphics to highlight key points, and made sure each part flowed naturally to the next. To help the story feel more immersive, we added sound design, background textures to small movement cues. These helped guide the viewer’s attention and gave the animation more depth without distracting from the message. The overall tone was calm and curious. We wanted the video to feel informative, but also enjoyable to watch. 

Inflation can feel abstract, so the main challenge was turning economic concepts into visuals that feel relatable. We used real-world metaphors and simple animations to ground the idea and make it easier to understand. Another challenge was balancing detail with simplicity. We focused only on the most important parts of the topic so the video didn’t feel overwhelming or too fast. 

This video was designed as a test piece for a future educational series. It helped show how motion design can make complex topics easier to learn and how visuals and sound can work together to tell a clear story.
