AI Business Manager is a multi-tenant SaaS for small and medium businesses, built web-first with a companion mobile app. This build implements Phase 1 — a Lean MVP proving the smallest complete loop a new business owner needs: sign up, add a product, record a sale, and share a receipt. Deeper accounting, AI-driven insights, and marketplace features are specified as later phases, not yet built.

Small business owners need a simple way to track products, sales, and payments without adopting bookkeeping software built for accountants — and without a platform quietly taking on payment-processing liability it never disclosed.

A NestJS + PostgreSQL backend with Next.js web and Expo mobile clients, built on a deliberate architectural boundary: the platform never touches a payment processor, bank API, or wallet API — it only records what the merchant reports, with that disclosure enforced in code (not just copy) before any transactional action is reachable.

Multi-tenant auth with JWT refresh-token rotation and owner/staff RBAC

Product catalog with audited stock adjustments and oversell confirmation

Multi-line-item, multi-payment sales with void/refund and idempotent retry-safe replay

Server-rendered PDF receipts carrying a built-in payment disclaimer

Money modeled as integer minor-units + ISO 4217 currency — never floats — shared across every client

Spec-driven development with a formal ADR governing the no-payment-processor boundary, enforced by a route guard rather than left to documentation alone.

Phase 1 (Lean MVP) only — customers/credit, expenses, invoices, the AI assistant, and offline-first mobile sync are specified but not yet built, and the platform isn't deployed publicly yet.
