A Day in My Life as a Content Writer (With Lots of Tea and Breaks) Well, grab a cup of tea (or whatever fuels your creative energy) because I’m about to take you behind the scenes of my chaotic but beautifully structured writing life. My alarm goes off at 5:00 AM. Do I immediately jump out of bed, full of energy and ready to conquer the day? Absolutely not. But I do get up because Salat (Subh prayer) calls, and that’s non-negotiable. By 5:30 AM, I’m done praying, and I convince myself I deserve a little rest until 6:00 AM—because, obviously, waking up is hard work. First task of the morning? Laundry. Some days I finish by 7:00 AM, other days it drags till 7:30 AM because I get distracted thinking about life (or what I’ll have for breakfast). Once my clothes are sorted, I brush my teeth and take a bath, because, you know, personal hygiene is important. Feeling fresh and ready for the day, I head to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. Tea and bread with eggs? Custard and milk? It depends on how much effort I feel like putting into life that morning. As my tea is brewing, I do the classic morning phone scroll: ✅ Check emails ✅ WhatsApp messages ✅ LinkedIn ✅ Instagram By now, I’m fully awake Since I planned today’s content yesterday, all I have to do now is upload it and set it live. Now, on to the next mission: planning and writing tomorrow’s content. I mostly write social media posts and blog articles, so my first step is research. I dive deep into sources, making sure I have all the juicy details before putting my thoughts together. By 12:30 PM, my brain is waving a white flag, so I take a break before praying Zuhur at 1:00 PM. Lunch comes right after. My go-to? Spaghetti or noodles. Quick, simple, and keeps me fueled for the second half of the day. I could jump straight back into work, but let’s be honest—writer’s block is a thing. So, I strategically “reset” my brain by watching a movie till 2:00 PM. With my creativity recharged, I continue writing and editing. My content calendar keeps me on track, so I know exactly what I’m working on. My go-to tools? ✅ ChatGPT ✅ Grammarly – Because typos are sneaky ✅ Phone Notebook App By 4:00 PM, I take another break to pray Asr. Afterward, I grab a snack or a refreshing drink By 6:00 PM, I’m wrapping up any last edits or finishing touches on my content. Once I’m satisfied, I move on to dinner. Dinner is usually rice, beans, or whatever requires the least effort. By 7:00 PM, I’m done eating and ready for Maghrib prayer. After praying Isha at 8:00 PM, I reward myself with another movie session from 8:30 to 10:30 PM. Writing is hard, okay? I deserve this. By 10:30 PM, I take time to rest, reflect, and just chill. By 11:00 PM, I either plan for tomorrow or just head straight to bed, depending on how much brain power I have left. And that’s a wrap on my day! If you made it this far, thanks for reading! Now tell me, what’s one weird or funny habit in your daily routine? Let’s share!
