Bard is a community based storytelling platform for creatives. It supports visual, audio, and written work and enables creatives to pair their complimentary work with each other.
Roles and Responsibilities
I've done a little bit of everything while working on Bard but here's my attempt at summarizing it.
API Development
Designed and developed the database schema and all of the endpoints required for the application using Django, Python, Django Rest Framework, and integrations with a number of services including Auth0, AWS S3, Stripe, Sendgrid, and Moosend.
Front-end Development
Developed all of the features for the application using Javascript and React.
Developer Operations
Managed staging and production environments, deployment pipelines, environment variables, and domain and DNS configuration.
Copywriting
Wrote all copy for the website, app, and resources for the users.
Content Creator
Created visual, video, and written education resources, tutorials, and promotions including TikToks, instagram posts, blogs, and video tutorials.
Community Manager
Managed the Discord community and mediated conversations and potential conflicts between members of the community.
Marketer
Posted regularly on platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, Youtube, and the website blog and engaged with the community as often as I could.
UI Design
Designed the interface for a handful of features and the website.
Priority Management
Prioritized all work that needed to be completed with the goal of delivering the highest value changes and updates to user first so that the business can grow and succeed.
