What was the project about?
The Brief:
Write a new blog article targeting high-ranking, high-intent keywords (KW: website design proposal)
Establish the product—Wix Studio—as robust for web design professionals, and as already driving success for professionals
Target Audience:
Web design professionals looking to create their first customer proposals, or to improve their customer proposals to increase new business
KPIs:
1) Google Search ranking
2) CTR (from Google to article)
3) Conversions / new sign ups
My original article targeting the primary keyword "website design proposal"
How did we do?
#1 Google Search results position, always on the SERP first page
Over 500 new user sign ups in the first six months of going live
The article ranked on the first SERP of Google Search
How I approached this project
Keyword research to identify high volume secondary keywords
Content cluster strategy—which I'd created earlier for the brand—to identify inner links both up to pillar article(s) and down to supporting articles
Competitive research informed article's structure and must-have sections, in order to generate top search rankings
Bulleted, linked list with custom List Item schema to improve visibility of article in Google
Unique images with valuable content, mirroring the article's text
Alt text included primary or secondary keywords
Expert quotes from real Wix Studio user, in article as both text and embedded images
CTAs were naturally integrated into the article's text as well as product banners
A linked, bulleted list with ListItem schema helped boost the article's visibility in Google Search results
Original imagery included valuable article content, and the image Alt Text included the primary keyword to rank in Google Images
Quotes from real-world experts boosted the article's credibility and performance on the SERP
