The Challenge

There's no transparency on pricing, no way to verify quality beforehand, and both sides waste time on back-and-forth scheduling. The market needed a trusted platform connecting verified service professionals with customers who need immediate, reliable help.

The Solution

I built Karsaaz Pro, a comprehensive on-demand services marketplace serving Pakistan's major cities. The platform connects homeowners with vetted professionals across 50+ service categories from electrical work and plumbing to beauty services and home repairs through instant booking, transparent pricing, and a seamless mobile experience available in both English and Urdu.

The technical challenges were interesting, but the real learning was understanding cultural nuances: why WhatsApp integration was critical (familiar communication), why Urdu wasn't optional (accessibility for older users), why cash-on-delivery remained essential (digital payment hesitancy). Building globally-inspired solutions with local adaptation is how you win emerging markets.
