Omni Browser – Custom Brave-Based Browser

When Omni reached out to me, they had a bold idea:

“We want our own browser — something fast, private, crypto-ready, and intelligent. And we want it on desktop and mobile.”

They didn’t want to reinvent the wheel, but they did want something that felt uniquely theirs. So I took Brave’s open-source core — known for its privacy-first approach — and built on top of it to create the Omni Browser, fully customized for their users and brand.

What made it different?

I started by redesigning the browser’s experience from the ground up. A clean UI, custom homepage with real-time widgets (crypto prices, news, weather), and direct access to Omni’s ecosystem — everything users need, right when they open a tab.

From there, I added key features that made this browser stand out:

Built-in VPN – so users can browse safely, without needing extra apps or extensions. One tap, and they’re protected.

Crypto Wallet – a secure, non-custodial wallet right inside the browser. No plugins. No headaches.

AI Search Toggle – I built a slick switch that lets users flip between a regular search engine and AI-powered search. It's fast, smart, and incredibly useful.

Full Cross-Platform Support – I built and optimized the browser for Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS, making sure it felt native and consistent everywhere.

On top of all that, I layered in additional privacy tools tailored to Omni’s audience — giving users even more control over their browsing experience.

This project was more than just building a browser — it was about crafting a product that aligned with a vision: one that blends privacy, crypto, and AI into a seamless everyday tool. It now serves as a core part of Omni’s ecosystem, and I’m proud to have brought it to life across platforms.
