This product is intended for small children aged 3 to 6 to learn the basics of chess. There has been substantial research carried out by the originator of the product idea, my client, who is a chess instructor to children in a chess club.
My work covered the steps from concept to manufacture:
- Concept ideas
- Market research
- CAD design development
- Prototyping
- Testing
- Design for manufacture
- Organising manufacture
- Liaison with manufacturers during the moulds construction
- Checking samples and implementing improvements
- Supervising the packaging design and manufacture
