A city runs on captive light. One lamplighter fights to set it free.
LIGHT is a self-initiated short film about a small, determined character confronting a world far larger than himself. A golden bird provides the visual thread through a dark city of railways, cages and mechanical architecture.
The creative work covered character and visual direction, shot planning, scene selection and revision, editing, and the final title treatment. Carved surfaces, deep blue shadows and warm gold highlights establish the look; close character moments and large architectural views give the story its scale.
The preview above is a 42-second silent visual excerpt, assembled from the completed 3-minute-33-second film. It presents selected scenes and contains no music or dialogue. The stills below are actual frames from the completed film.
An independent personal project, presented as a visual storytelling and filmmaking case study.
