In November 2023 I was approached by MCL Insure Tech (the parent company of Irelands largest car and home insurance provider) to overhaul their web based quote engine used by millions of customers every year. Their existing system had admittedly fallen behind competitors in terms of look and feel. This project began as UI / UX design mockups only but after developing a great relationship with the team I was tasked with coding the front end of the new system. The project involved creating unique experiences on mobile versus desktop, with emphasis on creating an native app feel on mobile browsers (78% of customers were using the currently unoptimised quote engine on mobile).
