Frontend Development for Composites.Archi Website

Justin Davidson

Website: https://www.composites.archi/ Role: Frontend Developer Tech Stack: JavaScript, HTML/CSS, ScrollSpy, Responsive Design
Overview: Composites.Archi is a visually immersive website designed to highlight innovative uses of composite materials in contemporary architecture. I led the frontend development and implemented a smooth, user-friendly scroll spy navigation system that enhances user experience by dynamically tracking the active section and updating the navigation state in real time.
Key Contributions:
Developed an elegant, performant scroll spy navigation that anchors users within a single-page experience and updates context as users scroll.
Built responsive layouts and fluid transitions for desktop and mobile, ensuring visual consistency across breakpoints.
Optimized scroll event handling for performance, with attention to repaint/reflow efficiency.
Collaborated closely with designers to align technical execution with the site's minimalist aesthetic and interactive storytelling goals.
Outcome: The site delivers a seamless, intuitive browsing experience, allowing users to explore architectural content with spatial awareness. This scroll-based navigation approach fosters deeper engagement and elevates the site’s overall polish and usability.
