My love language is sharing a nourishing cup of tea while listening to all your dreams—letting the herbs guide us to deeper connections with the earth, ourselves, and each other. Tea is a gateway medicine to the joy of life; every pour and every passed mug is an unspoken "I love you."
What elixir, tea, or tonic from our Cosmic Tonics e-book are you crafting up for your loved ones? Lately, our Sky Dancer Tea with kava kava, honey, and other soothing ingredients has been my go-to for deep connection and relaxation. Get your copy through the link in our bio!
Reconnect with nature's rhythm. Wake and sleep with the sun, surround yourself with trees, and nourish your body with vibrant, colorful foods. You are never separate from the natural world—you're an integral part of it.
Like every other being on this earth, you thrive with sunlight, guided by the seasons, influenced by the moon's shifts, and supported by plants that appear when you need them most. Mother Earth has always provided for us, patiently waiting for us to remember her nurturing ways. Listen. Respect. Understand that reconnecting with this beautiful earth paves a path back to yourself.
Nervine trophorestoratives are one of my favorite categories of herbs because let’s be honest, whose nervous system couldn’t use a little extra nourishment? These gentle yet powerful herbs are especially beneficial when taken long-term, offering deep restoration to an overworked or depleted nervous system. That said, they can also shine in short-term situations, whether it’s a mind-soothing skullcap tea before bed or St. John’s wort for post-dental work pain or wound care.
Herbs are nuanced allies, and that’s why understanding the different categories of nervines—as well as the unique virtues of each herb—is essential for an effective herbal practice.
As the earth quiets and sinks into the soil for rest during the winter we are also invited to turn inward—tending to our roots with care and nourishing ourselves deeply. This season of stillness is a great time to tend to the nervous system, especially with these deeply restorative herbs. Honoring the need to slow down. Happy winter solstice!
Light a candle, grab your crystals, and pour your favorite elixirs—it’s time to howl at the moon. The only mess I want to clean up tonight is chamomile petals scattered across the floor, empty shot glasses from our immune shots, and a heart so full I’ll savor the bliss until the next day unfolds.
There’s something magical about glancing at my shelf full of tinctures and mineral drops, knowing that each drop supports both my health and companies doing good for people and the planet. I can’t wait to share some of these brands with you in our Cosmic Tonics e-book! Link in our bio!
5. Nature teaches us that change and adaptation are essential for growth. On the other side of fear lies opportunity. Like a baby bird hesitant to take its first flight, it’s that leap into the unknown that leads it to places it could never reach otherwise.
Where in your life are you afraid to fly, fearing you might fall? Remember, those falls are part of the process. When a tree falls, it brings new life. Let every fall be an opportunity for growth. Embrace the fear, take the leap, and trust that each stumble will guide you to where you need to be.
6. Gut health goes far beyond just digesting food and absorbing nutrients—it influences every aspect of the body, from brain function to heart health, immunity, and even mental well-being. Hippocrates had it right when he said, “All disease begins in the gut.” As a gastroenterologist working with thousands of patients, I’ve seen this truth firsthand, but I've also witnessed how dramatically our gut health can improve simply by the foods we choose to eat. It’s no wonder Hippocrates also said, “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.”
