AI-Generated Ingredient Macros for Ecommerce and Packaging
Cosmetic Ingredient Macros With No Camera, Built for Ecommerce and Packaging
AI generated cosmetic ingredient macros for ecommerce, product pages and packaging, directed by a former photographer.
Cosmetic ingredient macros are the images that tell a customer what is inside the product. They sit on skincare packaging, product pages, ads and ingredient callouts, and they usually require a studio, a macro lens, fresh botanicals and a lot of patience for water droplets to behave.
I used to be a photographer, and I now work as a creative director with AI. This series is one of my interpretations of that genre, built to see how far light direction and art direction alone can go without a camera.
The concept
Twelve frames, one visual system. Each ingredient is treated like a specimen: backlit so petals turn translucent, veins and cell structures fully visible, and droplets acting as tiny lenses. Backgrounds stay clean and pale so every image can be dropped straight into a layout.
The ingredients
Hibiscus, white blossoms, daisy, rose petals, aloe, lavender, a five petal white flower in close up, petal skeletons, leaf veins, orange peel and orchid. The set moves from soft and calming to vivid and active, so it reads like a complete skincare range.
Suitable for ecommerce and product packaging
These images are designed for real commercial use:
Ecommerce product pages and ingredient sections
Product packaging and label concepts
Skincare, haircare and wellness ad campaigns
Social media content and email banners
Brand decks and launch presentations
The vertical format, clean backgrounds and consistent lighting make the set easy to crop, layer with text and adapt across formats, so a brand can tell its ingredient story with one cohesive look instead of mismatched stock photos.
My process
I didn't prompt for pretty flowers. I directed the way I used to shoot: choosing the light direction first, deciding how much light passes through each surface, controlling droplet size and scale, and keeping compositions symmetrical or minimal depending on the ingredient. My photography background guided every decision. AI removed the studio.
Disclosure
Every image in this series is AI generated. No camera, no physical botanicals, no studio retouching.
Tools: My own AI ecosystem, with art direction and final selection by me.
