Chapter 1: The Beginning
Our journey with SBRG began with a clear goal - to enhance the digital presence of this leading research group. The challenge was to transform an information-heavy website into an engaging, user-friendly platform.
Chapter 2: Understanding the Market and Users
We started by understanding our target users - individuals interested in biochar research. We conducted market research to understand the current trends in the research industry. We also analyzed competitor platforms to identify their strengths and weaknesses.
Chapter 3: Ideation
With a clear understanding of the market and our users, we started the ideation process. The idea was to create a website that showcases SBRG’s research in an engaging way, provides clear research descriptions, and ensures easy navigation.
Chapter 4: Designing the Experience
We started with low-fidelity wireframes to layout the basic structure of the website. This included the homepage, research pages, and contact page. We then created high-fidelity prototypes incorporating high-quality images and clear research descriptions.
Chapter 6: Reflection and Results
The website successfully encapsulates SBRG’s brand philosophy and offers a user-friendly interface for clients to explore research and make contact. User feedback post-launch has been positive, with users appreciating the easy navigation and the detailed research descriptions.
This project reinforced the importance of user-centric design and strategic thinking in product design. It was a rewarding experience to see SBRG’s unique approach to research reflected in the web design. It also highlighted the importance of market and competitor analysis in shaping the design strategy.
