Assessing Animal Fitness: A Computer Vision and AI Approach

Accurate evaluation of horse fitness is crucial. Traditional methods are subjective. We aim to develop a computer vision system for objective assessment.
By analysing body conformation, muscle development, and movement patterns, our system will provide a quantitative fitness measure. This technology will revolutionize the equine industry with standardised and efficient evaluation.
Key objectives of this research include:
Developing a robust computer vision model capable of accurately identifying and quantifying relevant horse features.
Creating a scoring system to assess horse fitness based on extracted features.
Validating the system's performance through extensive testing on a diverse dataset.
