A Letter From Jennifer Bill, Executive Director

Good Morning,

August is a month that is very difficult for all who knew Brian. Brian's birthday is today, August 23. He would have turned 45. Sending prayers directly to Brian in heaven, today. Extortion 17 (Pronounced "Extortion One Seven"), when our 31 Warriors were lost, is August 6. This tragic day was 13 years ago. It is still the largest loss of life in Special Operations history and known by all who are Special Operations Warriors.

This month has been a testament to good people and the efforts to keep the faces, lives, essences and beings of the Warriors of Extortion 17 in the hearts and minds of all who know them and those who didn't but have been shared these Warriors' stories at the 31 Heroes DC & Tampa - 31 Miles Rucks and at the NYC SEAL Swim across the Hudson River. All the beautiful people from these two organizations who organize, work, volunteer, participate and attend these events to make sure the Warriors of Extortion 17's legacies continue; know they are appreciated. The amount of appreciation felt by Brian's dad can never be measured.

I was a part of a discussion shortly after visiting the 911 Museum about the military, police, firefighters and patriots who are associated with the NYC SEAL Swim. We were discussing that these are good people; and that now is the time that we should spread goodness to others. There are so many more good people in the world. We just need a movement to make good be more of a priority. It's simple. We need your help. Please spread your goodness.
