Overview

Apeing AI helps active crypto traders discover trending tokens, read market activity, and execute trades fast. My work centered on redesigning the platform's core trading experiences Discover, ApeZone, Tracker, Portfolio, and Earn, After a competitor analysis my team ran against other established trading platforms showed where Apeing AI had fallen behind and would shine. This case study covers that redesign across connected areas of the product.

The Challenge

Web3 trading products live or die on speed and clarity. Traders are making fast decisions in markets that move in minutes, and every extra second spent parsing a cluttered screen or leaving the page to check something elsewhere is a second a fast-moving token can slip away.

When my team benchmarked Apeing AI against other bigger competitors, the gap wasn't about visual polish, it was about missing information. Traders using Apeing AI's original interface couldn't read momentum at a glance, couldn't see real time trading activity, had no time window control, and had to leave the platform to get context that competitors surfaced natively.

The challenge was to close that gap: redesign the core trading surfaces so traders could read momentum, activity, and risk without friction, while giving the business a rewards and engagement layer that kept traders coming back.

Design Goal

Design a Web3 trading experience across discovery, new pair trading, wallet tracking, portfolio management, and rewards that gives traders the context they need to act fast and with confidence, without recreating the clutter the redesign was meant to fix.

My Contributions

Led the competitor analysis alongside leadership that shaped the redesign direction

Redesigned the Discover page's token table (momentum, activity, time-window filtering)

Redesigned ApeZone's new-pair trading dashboard (per-column controls, sound alerts, buy/sell momentum signal)

Redesigned the Tracker page for smart-money wallet tracking and Twitter/X-based social verification

Redesigned Portfolio with multi-wallet aggregation, a PNL Calendar, and a shareable PNL Card

Redesigned the Referral page into Earn a broader rewards system with gamified progression, a public leaderboard, and live events

Collaborated with engineering throughout, working within existing data infrastructure rather than requiring new backend work
