Modelling of Economic Activities

Each Economic Activity Category has its own patterns. Therefore, it is crucial to any Financial Modeling that the companies are correctly categorized.

I developed a classifier that identifies Economic Activity Codes for companies based on several features from the companies. For the Data Engineering step I developed a custom ETL for data ingestion on xml processing. The Data Analysis and Machine Learning modeling was done in R and Python.

The implemented solution used a Fuzzy Logic classifier that permitted one company to participate in more than one Economic Activity Category. That resulted in a boost on the accuracy of the subsequent Pattern Modeling.
