Celebrating Women in IGNITE’s History | Print Design

This case study showcases a project I worked on as a Graphic Designer for IGNITE, a student-led union that aims to enhance the student experience at Humber College. I had the opportunity to create billboards, banners, posters and social media graphics to honour and celebrate women who have made a significant impact within the organization. This project was released during Women’s History Month, highlighting the invaluable contributions of these inspiring women.

Research and DiscoveryResearched Women’s History Month, studying various design styles and visual elements that could effectively communicate the project’s message.

Concept DevelopmentDeveloped a visual concept that captured the essence of each woman’s story while maintaining consistency with IGNITE’s brand identity. Explored different layout options, typography styles, and color palettes that would resonate with the target audience and convey empowerment and celebration.

Design ExecutionCreated compelling billboards and posters using graphic design software, combining captivating imagery, engaging typography, and the organization’s branding elements. Ensured each design effectively showcased the individual stories and accomplishments of the women being honoured.

Celebration of Women’s Achievements: The billboards, banners and posters prominently displayed across campus provided a platform to recognize and celebrate the contributions of women within IGNITE’s history
