A department at a big pharmaceutical manufacturing company wanted to build a system to simplify their employee training process. They were using their intranet, an excel sheet and scattered documents across different platforms and wanted to consolidate this functionality into a web application to streamline the process.
Our agency partners wanted us to join forces to discover how this should work and how it might look to the everyday users of the system.

Process 🛣
We started our discovery work by forming our research questions and interviewing stakeholders.
After conducting stakeholder interviews and analysing what we learned from them about how the current learning environment works, we started collecting example content that employees use to learn new tools.
Through analysing the responses and understanding how the skills-learning processes work at the company, we set out to design the wireframes representing this new learning system.
Subsequently, we put together an information architecture schema and a simplified user journey visualisation to help stakeholders understand how the users will use the system in their day-to-day work and improve their skills.
Overall, we helped the company design their new learning system and understand how they can further enhance the employee experience by improving internal tools.
