Solar Wien. A 25 year old company finally has a site to match.

Solar Wien is the kind of client most freelancers do not get to work with.
1000 plus installations across Vienna and the rest of Austria. 580 plus Google reviews. Featured in ORF, BVZ, MeinBezirk. 25 years in the field. The kind of track record that takes a generation to build and a single bad first impression to undersell.
And their website was the bad first impression.
Slow. Outdated. Built for a version of the internet that retired ten years ago. A family in Vienna comparing solar companies online would land on it and immediately wonder if Solar Wien was still in business. Twenty five years of trust, hidden behind a homepage that looked like nobody had touched it since the iPhone 4.
That is the gap we were brought in to close.

Step 1. We studied the brand before we touched the design

Solar energy is not a casual purchase. A family installing a system is making a five figure decision they will live with for fifteen years. They are not looking for trendy. They are looking for proof.
So I opened the old site in Figma and started marking it up. Where did trust break down? Which sections undersold the work? Where were the 1000 installations and 580 reviews on the page, and why did nobody notice them? By the end I had a map of every problem.

Step 2. We rebuilt the design system in Figma from scratch

New typography that felt heavy and confident, not corporate. A colour system warm enough to feel human, professional enough to close a 20,000 euro install. Spacing rules that gave every trust signal room to land.
Then we rebuilt the site with one job per section. The hero exists to communicate authority. The reviews section exists to prove it. The project gallery exists to show 25 years of real work. The contact section exists to convert. No section was decoration.

Step 3. We built it in Framer and shipped it fast

Smooth scroll. Fluid interactions. Pixel perfect across every device, which mattered because more than half of Solar Wien's traffic is mobile. SEO ready from launch, structured the way Google rewards.
The site loads fast enough that a visitor on a Vienna train can read the homepage before their stop. That is the bar for a service site in 2026.

The result

The numbers tell the story.
Search rankings (Vienna solar market):
#2 on "solar anlage wien" (1.9K monthly searches)
#3 on "photovoltaik firmen wien"
#4 on "pv anlage wien" (2.3K monthly searches)
#4 on "photovoltaik wien"
Site performance (last 90 days):
2.3K unique visitors, 5.2K pageviews
500 visits to the contact page, the lead capture surface for the entire business
3m 36s average session time, more than double the industry average for service sites
$983 per month in organic traffic value, climbing month over month since launch
70%+ Austrian traffic, exactly the audience Solar Wien sells to

Why it mattered

A 25 year old company should not have to apologise for its website when a customer brings it up. After this rebuild, Solar Wien does not.
The site finally works as hard as the company does. Every visit, every scroll, every click on the contact button is a family in Austria deciding to trust them with a 15 year decision. That is the job a website is supposed to do, and most websites do not do it.
Solar Wien's now does.

Austria's leading solar company has 1000+ installations, 580+ Google reviews, and 25 years of work behind them. Their old website didn't show any of it. We rebuilt it. Now they rank top 3 on Google for their biggest keyword.
