Indeed, Jesus entered several houses of Pharisees, including a synagogue leader, and was also prepared to visit the house of a Roman centurion (Luke 7:1-6, 36; 8:41). Following His example, the disciples also entered the homes of strangers (usually Gentiles). For instance, Peter went with six brethren to the house of Cornelius, and Paul visited a sick Gentile and personally welcomed those who visited his home (Acts 9:17; 28:8, 30).

Throughout history, believers have considered themselves spiritual strangers and sojourners (1 Peter 2:11), as they are temporary residents on earth. From this perspective, we should be considerate and empathetic towards those who have become, for various reasons, immigrants or strangers in other countries. Even in these troubled times, we remain ambassadors for Christ, called to follow our Lord Jesus and carry out the work entrusted to us in our families, churches, and communities.
