MatNex is a deep-tech company using AI, computational science and materials engineering to design new materials for some of industry's most difficult challenges.

The underlying technology is powerful. But that creates a familiar fundraising problem for deep-tech companies: there is a lot to explain before an investor can understand where the real commercial opportunity sits.

Our job was to turn the science, technology and ambition behind MatNex into a much clearer investment story.

MatNex had multiple compelling elements: proprietary technology, a significant global market opportunity, strong technical expertise and the potential to transform how new materials are developed.

The challenge was bringing those elements together into one coherent investment case.

We needed investors to understand not only what the technology could do, but why it mattered commercially, where MatNex could create defensible value and how the business could scale.

We went back to the narrative rather than simply redesigning the existing presentation.

We worked through the market opportunity, commercial model, technology and competitive moat, deciding what needed to be understood immediately and what could sit deeper in the story.

Complex scientific ideas were simplified without stripping away their credibility. The commercial opportunity was made more prominent, and the overall narrative was restructured so that each slide moved the investment argument forward.

The aim was to bridge two worlds: scientific depth and commercial opportunity.

Once the investment story was clear, we translated it into the complete presentation.

Our work covered investor narrative and structure, content development and editing, information hierarchy, visual storytelling and presentation design.

The result was a deck that made a highly technical company easier to understand while preserving the scale and sophistication of what MatNex was building.

The finished deck gave MatNex a clearer, more focused way to communicate its investment case — connecting the technology to the market opportunity, commercial model, competitive advantage and long-term potential.

MatNex had already raised significant capital before our engagement, including a £2 million seed round led by Ada Ventures. Our role was to help sharpen and structure the investor story for the company’s next stage of fundraising and growth.
