* This conceptual branding and packaging project reimagines the traditional first aid kit from the perspective of alternative lifestyles.
The Bondage First Aid Kit is a specialized product designed specifically for the BDSM community—individuals who value both play and safety. The challenge was to combine sensual aesthetics with practicality, creating an experience that feels both intimate and intelligent. More than just a design concept, this project explores how branding can elevate taboo products into the realm of thoughtful design. It aims to challenge assumptions, destigmatize niche markets, and merge intimacy with intelligence.
The logo was created for a specialized first aid kit tailored for the BDSM community, designed with both care and kink in mind. The custom typography takes visual cues from the fashion and hardware commonly associated with bondage culture, such as leather straps, collars, buckles, and restraint points.
Sharp angles and ornamental elements hint at the aesthetics of fetish wear, while the circular cutouts nod to rivets or O-rings—functional yet decorative. The wordmark maintains a sense of sophistication and restraint (pun intended), balancing edgy subject matter with thoughtful design.
The result is a visual identity that confidently embraces the sensual, the subversive, and the safe—paying homage to a culture that values both play and aftercare.
To fully immerse the user in the BDSM culture, the kit was designed using a tactile palette of materials: black leather, red and black velvet, metal studs, stitched typography, and durable plastics. The packaging rolls open like a traditional medical tool kit, forming the shape of a red cross when laid flat — symbolizing care, preparedness, and respect for consent and safety.
