The project site, situated on a slope with a 12-foot contour difference, presented both a challenge and an opportunity. Our design needed to address this unique aspect while fulfilling the client’s functional requirements and preferences. The client and architects shared a vision: to build a house that is comfortable, minimal, contextual, and cost-efficient. We emphasized a seamless connection with nature by designing well-lit spaces that take into account the sun’s path throughout the day. The multiple level lawns, strategically located, allow living spaces to flow effortlessly into these outdoor areas, enhancing the sense of openness and connectivity with the surroundings. By stacking the spaces according to the slope of the plot, we efficiently utilized the natural terrain to create a harmonious layout. The result is a two-unit house with complete privacy and separate access for each unit, achieved through innovative architectural solutions. Each unit maximizes its panoramic views, taking full advantage of the elevated location.
