The Sweet Shop HV - eCommerce Website Design & Build

Dustin contacted me for my expertise in designing and building an online store for his new candy shop "The Sweet Shop - Highland Village". The project's main objectives were to build an eye-catching & functional website on Squarespace that would not only showcase the physical location but also allow for online orders from the store for delivery or in-store pickup, and that would also integrate with their in-store Point-of-Sale (POS) system & inventory management. There was also the requirement of various candy filtering options for the online store to ensure easy navigation and the ability to find exactly what you were looking for by candy type or brand. The online ordering of candy was to be available by scoop weight variants, and the eCommerce system needed to be set up to adjust tax by location of order/delivery, as well as to apply the appropriate flat rate shipping rate with pre-determined US shipping zones. This is a great example of a complex eCommerce store with both online & physical sales options, in-person & delivery fulfillment options, inventory sync & management, in addition to a large number of products, categories, and variants. All in all the project was completed quite smoothly in just under 8 weeks from initial order to site completion & handover, with a delighted client, and a well-functioning solution to assist in their business's continued growth.
