Overall Summary on project

As a freelance video editor, I had the opportunity to work on a project promoting the fantasy novel "Dreamer" created by South African author Tanya Junghans.

The goal was to create a visually stunning and engaging video capturing the essence of the novel and the excitement of an open panel discussion at Exclusive Books.

Without a specific brief, I rendered the video in a 16:9 format for social media sharing in mind. By selecting captivating moments, incorporating scenic shots, and enhancing the video with transitions, effects, and a fitting soundtrack, the final result is a captivating and immersive promotional video ready to generate buzz and engage the target audience.

Roles and responsibilties

Reviewed and organized footage: I reviewed the quality and content of the recorded footage and organized it for efficient editing.

Edited and assembled footage: I selected the best clips, arranged them in a coherent sequence, and adjusted timing and pacing.

Added visual and audio effects: I enhanced the video with color correction, filters, graphics, text, subtitles, and audio adjustments.

Finalized and delivered the video: I reviewed and made adjustments to ensure quality, then exported the video in the appropriate format for distribution. The project has recently been completed.
