Worked on designing and building what here at Contra we call the Paid Project flow. This essentially meant putting ourselves in the shoes of Clients and Independents and asking ourselves the question: "What do I need to feel confidence and zero frustration when hiring or working using Contra?".

Initially, it was all about Clients sending inquiries to Independents to work for flat fee or hourly rate projects. However, as months passed by, we added tons of features and types of Paid Projects. Nowadays, this involves Independents inviting Clients, Milestone based projects and very soon Cadence (or recurring) projects.

The hardest part, as with any software project, was dealing with edge cases. What happens when the client doesn't want to work with the Independent and vice versa? What happens if payment was already made and the project is cancelled? What about disputes? These and many more questions were asked and to be honest we are still working on many more.

However, I have to say I'm very happy and excited about the state of finding work and hiring at Contra and I can definitely say it would have been impossible without the help of the amazing team we have here at Contra.
