My Tiny Room is a casual mobile game merging card-matching game and room decorating. The concept is pretty simple: match the pairs of cards you find in each level, earn coins & diamonds and use them to personalize your space with furniture from the in-game shop !
Sébastien Gruhier from Async Development & I teamed up to design, develop and publish our first mobile game on both Google Play and the App Store in only three months. Sébastien developed the game, while I handled the game UX/UI, character design, illustrations and motion design.
The interface of My Tiny Room has been designed with responsiveness in mind: it is playable both on smartphones and tablets (iPhones & Android phones).
The game is available in French, English and Korean.
Character Design & Illustration
My Tiny Room features three playable characters, and one NPC. The playlable characters are called Totok, Bub and Titik. Dubu, the only NPC, is the owner of the tiny shop where you can buy decoration for your room :)
The memory game includes a total of 12 pairs of illustrated cards, and 1 booster card.
Currently, over +150 items are available.
Each item (except floors and wall-mounted decoration) has been drawn in 4 different angles.
Currently, over +150 items are available.
Motion Design
Micro-interactions and animations are essential to game design: that's what make the charm of a game! All animated elements were built with Rive, a real-time interactive animation tool.
The game map is no exception : all elements were animated with Rive. The map changes depending on the current season (north hemispheree). Hover over the standing yellow chick to see the magic happen!
