While studying in Copenhagen in the fall of 2019 I was enrolled in a Creative Industry class. Our semester-long project was to develop an item to be sold at the DIS Copenhagen bookstore. After some brainstorming, my group decided on creating a deck of playing cards. This was influenced by our experience meeting new students during our first week and how playing cards facilitated making new connections. I was in charge of the creative direction and design. Inspired by the locals and the city of Copenhagen, I got to work creating a simple, elegant, and charming deck of cards. At the end of the semester, we presented our idea to the university marketing department and our project was chosen out of 10 others to be sold at their bookstore the following semester.
