Hara Smart Home Control Platform Design

Hara is a complete smart home control platform that allows users to manage, monitor, and automate all their home devices from a single app.

Paired with a small hardware gadget installed within each device’s wiring, Hara enables users to turn electronics on and off remotely, track energy usage, schedule automation, and gain insights into household efficiency — all through an intuitive interface.

The project involved designing the entire mobile experience for managing connected devices, usage reports, and scheduling routines.

Smart home solutions often require multiple brands, apps, and hubs to manage different devices. This creates a fragmented experience that’s complicated for everyday users.

The challenge was to design a simple, unified control system that connects all household electronics — from fans and lamps to heaters and speakers — under one intuitive platform, regardless of brand or type.

Hara brings true smart control to every home by introducing a compact hardware switch installed behind any electronic device. Once set up, it connects directly to the Hara app, allowing users to control and monitor everything in real time.

The app makes it effortless to organize, personalize, and automate devices, while tracking energy consumption to encourage efficiency.
