The students of Post Graduate Government College (co-ed), Sector-11, Chandigarh organised the first edition of the Model United Nations conference in the college campus from 29 January 2024 to 31 January 2024. The conference lasted three days constituting six committees undergoing discussions about worldwide agendas. Students from different schools and colleges all over Tricity participated enthusiastically in the conference. A judgement panel was also set up in each committee and healthy interactions among delegates were seen.

Therefore, on day one, the dress code was Western formal. The day started with a morning tea and the conference began with an opening ceremony where the college principal alongside the respective chief guest graced us with their presence, which was followed by delegates assigned to their allotted rooms for committee discussions. There were two sessions with a lunch break followed by dispersal in the evening.

For day two the dress code was Western formal. Two sessions took place with lunch in between, which was followed by an evening tea break. The day ended with a social evening that included cultural dances, singers and a DJ. The day ended with delegates dancing to the beats.

For day three the dress code was Indian formal. Morning tea was served to the candidates followed by the last session of the three-day conference. The day ended with a closing ceremony where prizes were distributed among the delegates which was later on followed by lunch and then dispersal.

The event was organised under the Department of Defense and Strategic Studies alongside the help of the NSS cell. The PGGC11MUN was a great success due to the hard work of our organising committee, NSS volunteers and Teacher coordinators.
